Senior Software Engineer - Java

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java to join DigiCert’s backend team in Bangalore. You will help design, develop, and maintain high‑quality web services that power our AI‑driven DigiCert ONE platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and architects to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java‑based web services.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug product defects, providing timely solutions to customer issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and backend development.
• Familiarity with multimedia libraries such as ffmpeg and OpenCV.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra).
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience with Agile development methodologies.
