Senior Software Engineer II

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join our Business Services team within LexisNexis Risk Solutions. You will work on a diverse portfolio of digital products that help customers manage anti‑money‑laundering, fraud, and credit‑risk challenges. The role combines hands‑on development with mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across global time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, architecture, and QA teams to translate moderately complex requirements into robust software designs.
• Write, review, and maintain code for system components using Java/J2EE and follow coding best practices.
• Participate in Agile and Waterfall development cycles, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
• Conduct peer code reviews, mentor junior developers, and help resolve technical issues.
• Log, track, and close defects using standard tracking tools.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing products.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Java/J2EE development and delivery of enterprise‑grade software.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams in the UK, US, and India.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for mentoring junior colleagues.
• Comfortable operating in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
