About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Elsevier Health’s Sales & Marketing Data Analytics team within the Digital Business Solutions group. The role focuses on designing, building and evolving scalable data platforms that power sales performance and marketing effectiveness for a global health information provider.
Key responsibilities
- Lead architecture and technical design of data platforms, pipelines and warehouse solutions.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex initiatives from design through production support.
- Design, build and optimise scalable Snowflake and DBT data pipelines.
- Define data models, performance standards, observability and reliability practices.
- Conduct technical design reviews and establish engineering standards.
- Champion code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
- Mentor engineers via pair programming, coaching and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure data products.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a senior software engineer working independently on data‑focused projects.
- Strong ability to influence technical direction and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
