Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Integration & SDK Connectivity

About the role

Mastercam seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Integration & SDK Connectivity) responsible for designing and building the next generation of cloud‑enabled services that integrate deeply with the Mastercam desktop product. The role provides hands‑on technical leadership to create scalable, secure cloud services and extend SDK capabilities over web APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate production‑grade cloud services on Kubernetes using C#/.NET.
• Build and maintain REST, gRPC and JSON‑RPC APIs with strong contract discipline.
• Implement real‑time communication using WebSockets, SignalR or gRPC streaming.
• Contribute to distributed integration patterns with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Define and evolve data contracts using Protobuf or JSON Schema, ensuring compatibility over time.
• Apply security‑first engineering practices, observability, and support production operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience building web APIs and cloud services.
• Proven experience integrating native desktop applications with cloud services.
• Strong system design, debugging and problem‑solving skills.
