Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure (Bengaluru)

About the role

Join the GBEC – Digital Platform domain engineering team at RELX to design, build, and evolve the cloud infrastructure that powers LexisNexis Legal & Professional services. As a senior engineer you will act as a technical leader, partnering with software, security, and architecture teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Terraform codebase, establishing module standards, state management, and review practices across multiple cloud accounts.
• Migrate manual infrastructure to fully automated, version‑controlled IaC with clear change workflows.
• Design, build, and maintain cloud components such as VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, managed Kubernetes clusters, and database services.
• Define SLOs, implement monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch), and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Drive cost‑optimization through right‑sizing, autoscaling policies, and regular cost reporting.
• Maintain disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity runbooks and conduct regular DR drills.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and compliance gating.

• Proven experience as a senior software or infrastructure engineer.
