Senior Software Engineer - Backend

About the role

As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling core product features. You will own modules end‑to‑end and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions while mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high‑performance software systems.
• Own modules end‑to‑end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build impactful product features.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Drive performance improvements and system stability.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE technologies.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience building scalable and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, web services, and microservices architecture.
• Experience in product‑based, internet, or startup environments; travel or e‑commerce domain a plus.
