Senior Software Developer – Snapp Reviewer Experience

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a proactive Senior Software Developer to join the Snapp Reviewer Experience team in Pune. You will work with colleagues in Pune, London and Lisbon to build and enhance systems that support editors, publishers and research‑integrity specialists in delivering high‑quality scientific content.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Collaborate with research‑integrity, production and editorial teams across multiple locations.
• Ensure high‑quality code and support frequent deployments to production.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives within a multi‑programme product development department.

Required profile

• Several years of professional software development experience, preferably in Kotlin or Java.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end web application development.
• Curious, proactive and comfortable asking questions to solve complex problems.
• Enjoys collaborative teamwork and collective product ownership.
