Senior Site Reliability Engineer – NoSQL Database

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our NoSQL Database Team. You will be responsible for the reliability, availability, and performance of large‑scale distributed NoSQL database services that power mission‑critical workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and continuously improve large‑scale distributed NoSQL database services.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents involving networking, Linux/Unix, and database infrastructure.
• Perform detailed root‑cause analysis (RCA) and drive preventive improvements.
• Design, implement, and enhance monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams to boost reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Identify recurring operational issues and automate long‑term reliability solutions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, and production support.
• Contribute to runbooks, operational documentation, and post‑incident reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience supporting mission‑critical, large‑scale production systems.
• Hands‑on experience with complex distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in networking and Linux/Unix troubleshooting.
• Proven track record of conducting RCA for complex incidents.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Distributed NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase, ScyllaDB, HBase, DynamoDB).
• Cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
• Kubernetes, containers, and related orchestration technologies.
• Automation and scripting for reliability engineering.
