Senior Simulation Engineer – Rolling Stock

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Simulation Engineer to lead the full simulation development lifecycle for Train Control and Management Systems (TCMS) and related rolling‑stock subsystems. You will act as the technical authority, ensuring models are accurate, integrated, and validated on hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HiL) benches.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end simulation development from requirements analysis to HiL deployment.
• Develop and integrate simulation models of rolling‑stock subsystems using NI LabVIEW, MATLAB & Simulink.
• Verify model accuracy, ensure system‑level coherence and signal integrity.
• Map signals and integrate models in NI VeriStand for real‑time testing.
• Work with communication protocols such as MVB, RS232, CAN, Ethernet and TRDP.
• Manage test benches comprising NI PXI platforms and Duagon Instruments.
• Create advanced LabVIEW user interfaces for operator interaction and diagnostics.
• Apply V‑model methodology throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of rolling‑stock platforms (metro, locomotives) and TCMS architecture.
• Strong knowledge of rolling‑stock subsystems, interfaces and system‑level behavior.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Proven ability to develop, verify and integrate simulation models.
• Familiarity with V‑cycle development processes.
