Senior SEO Manager – AI-Assisted Search Strategy

About the role

Thornwell Media is seeking a senior, hands‑on SEO leader to drive organic visibility, qualified traffic and online reputation across multiple brand websites. The role combines technical SEO, content strategy, local search and AI‑assisted search optimisation, with a strong focus on documentation and repeatable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Create, execute and document a distinct SEO strategy for each brand.
• Build comprehensive SEO playbooks covering priorities, target audiences, search opportunities and performance metrics.
• Develop SOPs for keyword research, SERP analysis, content production, on‑page optimisation, internal linking, local SEO, link building and reporting.
• Conduct technical, on‑page, off‑page and content SEO audits and provide implementation guidance to developers.
• Manage Google Business Profiles, citations, reviews and local visibility.
• Monitor branded search results, reputation risks and develop ethical strategies to improve SERPs.
• Leverage AI tools to automate research, content planning, analysis, optimisation and reporting workflows.
• Track rankings, traffic, leads and conversion metrics and produce clear performance reports.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven SEO expertise across multiple brands.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to document processes clearly.
• Comfortable working during Eastern Time business hours.
• Experience building AI‑assisted SEO workflows and SOPs.
