Senior Security Analyst – Incident Response & Threat Hunting

About the role

The Senior Security Analyst joins the CDC team at G+D, applying deep technical knowledge of security technologies to protect digital and physical assets. The role focuses on security investigations, incident response, threat hunting, and the development of robust security processes while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools, intrusion detection systems and other monitoring platforms.
• Identify risk scenarios, translate them into use cases and conduct active threat hunting.
• Perform end‑to‑end triage of security events and support incident response activities.
• Collaborate with IT and cross‑functional teams to embed security controls into the technology infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain playbooks, custom detection rules, compliance rules and audit watch lists.
• Create custom reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and train other CDC team members and assist in documenting work processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in managed security services or information security.
• 4+ years of hands‑on security investigation and incident response experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms and intrusion detection systems.
• Threat hunting and use‑case development.
• Scripting in Python and data querying with SQL.
• Creation of security playbooks, custom detection rules and compliance reports.
• Experience with incident response processes and security investigations.
