Senior Reporting & Cost Accounting Analyst

About the role

The position sits within KPMG Global Services’ Managed Services team, part of the Consulting division. You will lead financial and management reporting, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting activities while ensuring compliance and data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports, including P&L, cost centre and variance analysis.
• Support the creation of management dashboards and performance metrics for leadership review.
• Conduct cost accounting activities such as product costing, standard costing and cost allocations, and perform cost variance analysis.
• Assist in margin and profitability analysis at product, customer or project level and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long‑range planning, consolidating inputs from multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS/IFRS and internal policies, and provide data for internal, statutory and cost audits.

Required profile

• CA / CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance) or a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• 5–8 years of experience in financial reporting, cost accounting or FP&A, preferably in manufacturing, services, IT/ITES or project‑based environments.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of cost accounting concepts and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, Power Query, macros).
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for reporting and visualisation.
