Senior Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join Bosch’s automotive software and hardware development team in Bengaluru. You will ensure the durability and reliability of automotive products through rigorous testing, analysis and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation plans based on anticipated failure modes using FMEA and impact analysis.
• Conduct failure analysis, root‑cause investigations and risk assessments using structured methods such as 8D, CAR and FTA.
• Perform field load, vibration, thermal and thermo‑mechanical testing and interpret results.
• Coordinate cross‑functional testing activities and collaborate with customers and internal teams.
• Apply international automotive testing standards and ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• B.E. / M.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in automotive development with a focus on product reliability.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple testing projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EE components.
• Mechanics fundamentals – vibration, thermal, thermo‑mechanical.
• Field load analysis and failure analysis.
• Risk assessment and product validation methodologies.
• FMEA, impact analysis, 8D, CAR, FTA.
• Familiarity with international automotive testing standards.
