Senior Record to Report (R2R) Finance Lead

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Record to Report (R2R) professional to lead critical finance processes across multiple regions. You will ensure accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting while driving continuous improvement within the R2R function.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end Record to Report activities, validate junior team work and resolve client queries.
• Monitor daily R2R operations, handle escalations, and implement corrective actions.
• Generate reports and update dashboards in line with governance frameworks.
• Conduct regular team meetings to identify issues and provide actionable solutions.
• Ensure smooth month‑end close with minimal outstanding items.
• Plan backups, facilitate knowledge‑transfer sessions, and maintain continuity.
• Review and update process documentation and checklists.
• Drive automation and efficiency improvements in working files.
• Support system upgrades through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Participate in governance calls, track and close action items.
• Identify and implement process‑streamlining opportunities.

Required profile

• Comprehensive understanding of Record to Report processes, including general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles; IFRS or US GAAP experience is a plus.
• Experience conducting gap analysis, managing transitions, and delivering results across EMEIA, Americas, and APAC.
• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and a commitment to high‑quality output.
