Senior R&D Engineer – Web & Cloud Applications

About the role

AVEVA is looking for a senior R&D engineer to design and build scalable web and cloud applications that support its industrial software portfolio. The role involves turning detailed requirements into robust, high‑performance code and guiding junior engineers through the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy web and cloud software using C# and .NET technologies.
• Architect and implement REST APIs, database solutions (SQL/NoSQL) and micro‑service or serverless components.
• Collaborate with product and technology stakeholders to define frameworks and delivery timelines.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure secure coding practices, and maintain documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and support effort estimation during release planning.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns and software architecture.
• Proven experience delivering high‑performance, scalable applications in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with clear written and verbal communication.
