Senior QA Engineer – Python, Pytest & Machine Learning

About the role

At Anaplan you will lead a high‑performing QA team that ensures the quality and reliability of AI‑driven, time‑series forecasting solutions. You will shape the QA strategy for the Forecasting project and collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineering leads. This role combines technical leadership with hands‑on testing of machine‑learning models and APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow QA Engineers across multiple stream‑aligned teams.
• Define and drive the overall QA strategy for the Forecasting project, focusing on time‑series forecasting.
• Oversee design, development and maintenance of automated test frameworks.
• Guide implementation and execution of robust test cases for AI‑powered features and APIs.
• Champion BDD frameworks such as Gherkin to create clear, maintainable tests.
• Ensure thorough testing and validation of RESTful APIs for quality and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineering leads on quality standards and release criteria.
• Drive improvements to the CI/CD pipeline to continuously test and deploy AI models with confidence.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience testing complex platform, infrastructure or data‑centric systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and expertise with pytest.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a QA team in a fast‑paced technical environment.
• Deep understanding of machine‑learning concepts and testing of ML models, especially time‑series forecasting.
• Extensive experience with Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) and Gherkin.
• In‑depth knowledge of API testing and validation.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices, including CI/CD.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
