Senior QA Automation Engineer – Playwright

About the role

Iris Software is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Playwright to lead the design and execution of automated test suites for mission‑critical banking and financial services applications. You will own the automation framework, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high‑quality releases across complex enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated regression suites using Java, BDD/Cucumber, Playwright and SQL validations.
• Create reusable components for API, browser, database, file and report validation aligned with the RAFT framework.
• Enhance and own the automation framework, utilities, test data handling, reporting and logging.
• Guide intermediate engineers, review code, enforce standards and troubleshoot execution failures.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo) and reporting tools (Jira/Xray).
• Collaborate with development and product teams to translate functional requirements into Gherkin scenarios.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of hands‑on QA automation experience, preferably in banking, financial services, capital markets or large‑scale enterprise applications.
• Proven ability to own and evolve automation frameworks and mentor technical teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving skills.
