Senior Purchasing Specialist – Service Procurement (EMEA)

About the role

As a Senior Purchasing Specialist you will support the full scope of sourcing and procurement processes, delivering the best conditions in quality, price, delivery, technology and sustainability while complying with local and group regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain purchasing strategies to ensure reliable supply of goods, materials, supplies and equipment at competitive prices.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, including preparing specifications, issuing RFPs, selecting suppliers and administering contracts.
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain optimal price and terms while meeting quality standards and ethical guidelines.
• Monitor vendor performance, provide feedback and drive continuous improvement of supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Sales, Engineering and Expediting to align purchasing activities with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in purchasing, preferably spare‑parts procurement.
• Strong commercial, financial and technical understanding of specifications and drawings.
• Proven negotiation and communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) process flow.
