Senior Public Relations Account Executive

About the role

This position manages and drives front‑line client relationships, provides strategic and tactical advice, and is responsible for implementing communications solutions. It also serves as the day‑to‑day contact with key journalists and influencers on behalf of the client.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact with journalists, influencers, and media editors for the client.
• Conduct research to anticipate journalists’ interests and provide value‑added information to editors and clients.
• Negotiate client inclusion in coverage, propose story ideas, and benchmark criteria for product reviews.
• Facilitate press meetings, events, and analyst tours, keeping client presentations on track.
• Develop and present PR plans that outline business goals, situation analysis, challenges, solutions, measurement criteria, and fiscal planning.
• Produce professional written materials and emails that add relevance to the client’s business.
• Maintain accurate timesheets, billing, expense reports, and update databases with coverage information.

Required profile

• Degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing (preferred).
• At least 2 years of PR experience, preferably in an agency setting.
• Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and establishing media contacts.
• Strong understanding of media values and ability to work with business press editors and analysts.
• Excellent writing skills with a proven track record in drafting press materials.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet editorial deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Office and general business applications.
