Senior Protection Coordination Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in Protection Coordination Studies to join our growing team in India. The role offers the chance to work on high‑impact energy transition projects, collaborate with specialist colleagues, and shape client outcomes while advancing your technical and consultancy skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct protection coordination studies and determine relay settings for transformers, reactors, generators, transmission lines and cables.
• Perform protection design reviews and provide technical advice during project development and detailed design stages.
• Review protection philosophies, settings reports and technical documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Support proposals, technical bids and business development activities.
• Mentor and train junior consultants and collaborate with power‑systems, EMT, earthing and grid compliance teams.
• Coordinate proactively with the UK team on project and proposal work.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years of power‑systems experience.
• Minimum 2 years delivering protection engineering consultancy for transmission, distribution, renewable generation or industrial power systems.
• Strong understanding of HV, EHV and MV protection principles and extensive experience in coordination and relay‑setting studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage workload and deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
