Senior Program Officer – AI Expert (Health Technology)

About the role

PATH is seeking a senior professional to lead the identification, assessment, and scale‑up of AI‑enabled health technologies within Indonesia’s diagnostics and medical devices ecosystem. The role will provide technical leadership and strategic guidance to support the Ministry of Health’s vision for health security.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across workstreams related to AI‑enabled health technologies, diagnostics, and medical devices.
• Support development of a National Strategic Framework and Implementation Roadmap for medical devices and diagnostics in Indonesia.
• Advise on integration opportunities for AI technologies in public health and diagnostic systems.
• Identify emerging AI health solutions, assess their relevance, feasibility, scalability, regulatory readiness, and local manufacturing potential.
• Engage with the Ministry of Health, regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and PATH technical teams to coordinate project activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior program officer or similar role in health technology or AI‑enabled solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government ministries, regulatory agencies, and multi‑sector partners.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop national frameworks and roadmaps.
