Senior Product Manager, Payer Content Solutions and Analytics

About the role

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is looking for an experienced Product Manager in Hyderabad to lead the strategy, development and execution of payer content solutions and supporting reporting and analytics capabilities. The role drives API-based content products that help healthcare payers and providers improve operational efficiency, reduce denials, lower administrative costs and enhance customer experiences. It requires strong product management expertise combined with deep healthcare domain knowledge, especially in claims, benefits, prior authorization, policy management and revenue cycle operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy and roadmaps for payer content solutions and reporting/analytics, and identify opportunities to improve denial reduction, cost savings, call deflection and operational efficiency
• Translate payer and provider needs into scalable API content products and requirements, partnering with engineering and operations on features, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Lead the full product lifecycle from ideation through Alpha, Beta and GA releases, defining MVP scope and prioritizing backlogs with Agile methods
• Work with payer and provider clients to validate use cases and gather feedback, and conduct market and competitive research
• Align product, engineering, operations, clinical, delivery and go-to-market teams, report progress to executives and coordinate launch readiness
• Serve as subject matter expert, support product documentation and training, and partner with sales and marketing on product positioning and go-to-market

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of product management experience owning complex enterprise software or platform products
• Experience developing healthcare technology products, preferably in payer, provider, revenue cycle or healthcare operations settings
• Demonstrated experience with API-based products, content sourcing strategies or platform-based solutions
• Experience defining product use cases and working closely with engineering teams
• Preferred: experience with healthcare content products, claims intelligence, policy content, pricing transparency or enterprise-scale healthcare platforms

Required skills

• Reporting and analytics platforms, including performance measurement, KPI development and operational reporting
• Agile product development; familiarity with Rally, Aha! or Jira is preferred
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership
