Senior Principal Engineer - Instrumentation

About the role

The Senior Principal Engineer – Instrumentation will lead the technical discipline for complex proposals and projects, reporting directly to the Team Manager. You will ensure safe, compliant, reliable and cost‑effective engineering solutions across Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining and Petrochemical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering practices, workflows and procedures, and define related specifications.
• Participate in project reviews, monitor workflow and ensure adherence to contractual quality and schedule.
• Consult with subject‑matter experts and project management teams, providing technical recommendations.
• Control key performance indicators, benchmarks and efficiency figures for equipment, material and man‑hour estimation.
• Optimize engineering practices based on collected KPIs.
• Resolve technical problems of varying complexity.
• Coordinate and deliver training programs for designers, engineers and senior engineers within the discipline.
• Attend professional group meetings and stay updated on industry trends and innovations.

Required profile

• Master’s (MTech/ME) or Bachelor’s (B.Tech) in Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in EPC or detailed design engineering, preferably in Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining or Petrochemical projects.
• Fluent English communication skills.
