Senior Platform Engineer – Cloud Automation

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Engineer in Platform Engineering to design, build, automate, secure, and operate cloud‑based platforms that enable fast, reliable, and compliant digital product delivery. The role is hybrid, based in Hyderabad, and works closely with software, cybersecurity, quality, architecture, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, repeatable application delivery across all environments.
• Automate build, test, deployment, configuration, release, rollback and environment provisioning.
• Provision, configure and operate cloud infrastructure using infrastructure‑as‑code and automated governance.
• Support containerized workloads, Kubernetes platforms, service configuration, secrets management, networking and storage.
• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting and dashboards to improve visibility and reliability.
• Embed security scanning, vulnerability remediation and compliance evidence into delivery workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate platform capabilities into sprint delivery and release planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote disciplined engineering practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE or release engineering.
• Hands‑on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Experience with regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, healthcare or life sciences.
• Strong collaboration skills with software, security, quality and operations teams.
