Senior Platform Architect – Infrastructure Design

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Platform Architect to lead the design and delivery of robust internet infrastructure solutions. You will work within the Infrastructure Design Services team, collaborating with application owners and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure platforms meet security, availability, and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate high‑level system requirements in partnership with architects, engineers, and users.
• Design and document technical architecture (TAD) for applications, platforms, and systems.
• Resolve architectural and operational issues affecting global product availability and performance.
• Produce and maintain technical artifacts such as logical flows, models, and architecture documents.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential deployment within Mastercard’s infrastructure.
• Lead regional projects and ensure deliverables remain current and aligned with evolving business needs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with internet fundamentals, including web and application servers and internet security.
• Proven ability to interface with multiple stakeholder groups to capture evolving requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to ensure requirements are complete, consistent, and operationally defined.
• Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive technical architecture documentation.
