Senior Payroll Specialist – Outsourcing (Bangalore)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our outsourcing team in Bangalore. The role focuses on processing payroll accurately, ensuring statutory compliance, and delivering excellent service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Process and coordinate payroll and related procedures with high accuracy.
• Apply in‑depth knowledge of benefits, compensation principles, income tax, and retirement plans.
• Maintain and update HRMS master data, ensuring non‑financial data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, Professional Tax, LWF, and TD.
• Conduct reconciliation between Paybooks outputs and input data.
• Perform variance analysis to guarantee payroll accuracy.
• Manage annual compliance reporting for salary‑related statutory requirements.
• Address and resolve employee queries promptly.
• Review and approve changes in employee records, including exemptions, insurance coverage, deductions, job titles, and departmental transfers.
• Compile comprehensive reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non‑taxable wages.

Required profile

• MBA in Human Resources or a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
• 2–5 years of payroll or HR experience (senior executive level preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent client relationship management abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indian HR and payroll regulations.
• High patience and problem‑solving capability.
• Ability to perform under pressure during peak periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
