Senior Partnerships Officer (Consultant Role)

About the role

Fortify Health is seeking a Senior Partnerships Officer (Consultant) to be based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The role will lead the organisation’s engagement with state and local government bodies as well as non‑profit partners, driving the implementation of wheat‑flour fortification initiatives across key public nutrition programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with state and municipal government departments in Bhopal.
• Identify and negotiate collaboration opportunities with not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Support the rollout of wheat‑flour fortification within the Public Distribution System (PDS), Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and Mid‑Day Meal (MDM) programmes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure programme alignment and effective delivery.
• Mentor and supervise a small, growing team of partnership staff.
• Report progress and challenges to the Partnerships Manager on a regular basis.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development or government relations, preferably in the health or nutrition sector.
• Strong understanding of Indian state‑level public‑sector programmes such as PDS, ICDS and MDM.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and guide junior team members.
