Senior Native Mobile Engineer

About the role

Avaloq is seeking a Senior Native Mobile Engineer to shape the next generation of mobile banking experiences. You will work in a brand‑new team, collaborating with product owners and cross‑functional engineers to deliver high‑quality Android and iOS applications for leading financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design and implement scalable, reusable code for mobile banking solutions.
• Write high‑performing, testable code and unit‑test for robustness, edge cases and reliability.
• Document features technically and ensure clear, maintainable implementations.
• Identify, reproduce and resolve software defects, continuously improving performance and responsiveness.
• Participate actively in the full development lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional mobile application development experience.
• Strong understanding of the complete mobile development life‑cycle.
• Proficiency in at least one modern stack: Kotlin, Swift, SwiftUI or Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Combine, Kotlin Flow, MVVM, Jetpack Compose or SwiftUI.
• Solid grasp of Android or iOS concepts, UI design, data storage, encryption, security and performance.
• Experience integrating third‑party SDKs and REST APIs.
• Excellent communication skills and experience leading developers in Agile environments.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field.
