Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – SolidWorks Sheet Metal Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with deep expertise in SolidWorks sheet‑metal design to create 3D enclosures for high‑performance electrical control panels. The role is based in our in‑house sheet‑metal fabrication facility in Ponda.

Key responsibilities

• Design complex 3D sheet‑metal enclosures and manage heavy fabrication projects.
• Use Amada CAM software to translate CAD models into production‑ready data.
• Estimate product costs and source raw materials to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth transition from CAD to shop‑floor manufacturing.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of expert‑level experience with SolidWorks (Sheetmetal module).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Strong background in sheet‑metal working processes and lean manufacturing practices.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
• Familiarity with camming software for Amada machines (training can be provided).
