Senior Manager – SAP ABAP Consulting

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Manager to lead SAP ABAP consulting services in Pune. The role focuses on helping clients maximise the value of their SAP investments across finance, supply chain, engineering and human capital domains, delivering technology‑enabled change through SAP S/4HANA, cloud and analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end design, development and support of SAP ABAP solutions for upgrade and implementation projects.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle, from coding and code‑quality reviews to performance tuning and post‑go‑live support.
• Manage interface development using RFC, SFTP, Web Services, REST APIs, OData and SPROXY services.
• Coordinate with middleware (SAP PI/CPI) and monitor interfaces via AIF.
• Create and track SAP incidents, apply SAP Notes, and drive change management using Solution Manager/Focus Build.
• Mentor junior consultants and ensure adherence to best‑practice development standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 11 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP experience, including RICEFW object development.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, data models and integration technologies.
• Proven experience in SAP upgrade and implementation projects.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MCA or related field; SAP Technical Certification in S/4HANA preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
