Senior Manager, Regional Controller, APAC

About the role

Rapid7 is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Regional Controller function for the Asia‑Pacific region from its Pune office. The role oversees accounting, reporting, statutory compliance and audit across multiple APAC entities, ensuring accurate financial statements under US GAAP and local GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes for all APAC entities, adhering to the corporate schedule.
• Review and approve balance‑sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis and investigate variances in partnership with FP&A and Corporate Accounting.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements, local audits and regulatory filings, including GST, TDS and corporate tax returns in India.
• Act as primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop regional accounting managers, senior accountants and outsourced partners.
• Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal and external advisors to support new country expansions and post‑acquisition integration.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing accounting functions for multiple jurisdictions in APAC.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with Indian tax compliance (GST, TDS, direct tax) and broader APAC tax regulations.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑building capabilities.
