Senior Manager – Project Operations (India)

About the role

Tata Communications is seeking a Senior Manager to lead project operations across India. The role focuses on identifying new initiatives, allocating resources, monitoring progress, and resolving cross‑functional issues to improve turnaround time, cost efficiency, and overall productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cross‑functional and regional projects within defined scope, budget, and timelines.
• Drive adherence to change‑control processes and regularly review business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with sales, commercial, and support teams to surface issues and opportunities.
• Develop business cases, create statistical analyses, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Identify and appoint project managers and teams based on issue relevance.
• Review and refine project charters, milestones, and KPIs.
• Track project outcomes against KPIs and report quarterly progress.
• Facilitate inter‑functional coordination and provide training on new processes.
• Support launch of new products and services, preparing change‑rollout plans and participating in launch reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or equivalent.
• Project management qualification or equivalent with 7‑12 years of operations and project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of planning, monitoring, and controlling programmes.
• Experience in business case development, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in programme and project management methodologies.
