About the role

The Senior Manager – Employee Relations and Industrial Relations will lead the plant’s employee‑relations function, ensuring harmonious industrial relations and effective workforce management. This role supports the plant’s efficiency by driving engagement, managing unions, and overseeing temporary workforce operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employee relations across the plant.
• Drive interventions to maintain cordial industrial relations, engage unions, and ensure smooth committee functioning.
• Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage the full lifecycle of the temporary workforce and collaborate with shared services.
• Introduce innovative approaches to retain and engage temporary staff, aiming for optimal efficiency.
• Improve wage cost and productivity to meet industry averages.
• Implement disciplinary actions based on practical application of labour laws.
• Oversee statutory compliance and manage legal matters in labour courts and conciliation proceedings.
• Supervise contract labour management and ensure zero non‑compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations and industrial relations.
• Hands‑on experience with labour law application and statutory compliance.
• Experience managing temporary workforce and contract labour.
• Ability to engage with unions and drive long‑term settlements.
