Senior Manager – Connected Car Cloud Architecture

About the role

Tata Motors is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the design, development and deployment of cloud‑based connected‑car solutions. The role will shape the logical architecture for connected‑car use cases, ensuring alignment with technical policies and the company’s technology roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate and deploy functional use cases for connected cars on cloud platforms.
• Define design standards and carry‑over strategies for backend and application engineering.
• Resolve critical issues, approve deviations and ensure compliance with technical policy.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and provide technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet functional, cost, weight, timing and quality targets.
• Oversee validation cycles and ensure adherence to automotive cybersecurity and data‑privacy standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical.
• 3‑6 years of experience in automotive systems, V‑cycle development and cloud solutions.
• Working knowledge of requirement and configuration management tools such as DOORS.
• Familiarity with simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink and Enterprise Architect.
• Understanding of automotive communication and diagnostic protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

• Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Cloud architecture and service‑block design.
• IoT devices (health band, smart glasses, biometric sensors).
• Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, USB, Bluetooth (BT & BLE), GPS, GSM, 3‑axis accelerometer.
• Cybersecurity standards (device, protocol, cloud, application security).
• Data‑privacy and protection strategies.
• Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS).
• MATLAB, Simulink, Enterprise Architect.
• DOORS requirement management.
• System‑level FMEA.
