Senior Mainframe Capacity Management Engineer

About the role

Ensono is seeking a senior professional with deep expertise in mainframe system performance and capacity management. The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing z/OS environments to ensure stability and efficiency for our global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and implement system enhancements to improve performance.
• Monitor usage, generate performance reports, and identify bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot mainframe incidents and analyze outages.
• Evaluate feasibility of new or changed system configurations.
• Collaborate with batch, online, DB, and storage SMEs to prevent production incidents.

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years of experience in large, complex mainframe environments (financial sector experience a plus).
• Strong background in performance monitoring and capacity management within multi‑CEC & Sysplex settings.
• In‑depth knowledge of WLM, RMF, SMF and IBM SCRT reporting systems.
• Advanced proficiency with REXX, SQL and Excel for analysis and automation.
• University degree in Computer Science, MIS or relevant professional certifications.
• Excellent communication skills, self‑directed, and fluent in English.
