Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Wipro is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its Partner Ecosystem. The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating strategic partner agreements and advising business teams on legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements including software license, cloud, IT services, IP, marketing, ISDA, construction, property, treasury, financing, hardware, staffing, development, collaboration, NDA and bank guarantees.
• Provide guidance on software license compliance, open‑source, SaaS/IaaS/PaaS copyright issues.
• Advise on data protection and cross‑border transaction compliance.
• Support senior leadership with legal advice and risk mitigation.
• Assist in dispute resolution or litigation matters as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant legal experience, preferably in‑house.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good academic credentials.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating software license agreements.
• Knowledge of IT services contracts (cloud, hosting, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
• Understanding of data protection and cross‑border legal issues.
• Familiarity with dispute resolution or litigation processes.
