Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced commercial contracts lawyer to join our Group Commercial Legal team. The role focuses on reviewing, analysing and drafting FNZ’s client and supplier contracts worldwide, supporting complex legal projects across multiple business areas.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft client and supplier contracts.
• Provide general legal support to the business.
• Analyse contracts and produce reporting and management information.
• Monitor legal developments and assess impact on FNZ.
• Maintain the contracts register and manage contract lifecycle.
• Support strategic projects and produce internal MI.

Required profile

• Qualified commercial solicitor with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong commercial contracts specialist with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience in the fintech or financial services sector is desirable.
• Detail‑oriented, methodical, and able to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, influencing and business judgment.
