Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for its Bangalore office. The role will deliver independent, risk‑based assurance, support SOX compliance, and lead fraud investigations while driving digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Support and modernize the SOX program, enhancing control frameworks and management testing methodologies.
• Execute, oversee, and continuously monitor SOX management testing for IT systems and business processes.
• Identify control deficiencies and recommend actionable remediation strategies.
• Act as liaison between external auditors, business partners, and stakeholders to align risk mitigation efforts.
• Lead internal audit engagements across diverse business areas and risk domains.
• Plan and conduct fraud investigations, including fieldwork, stakeholder interviews, and reporting.
• Prepare clear audit reports and investigation findings for senior leadership.
• Implement emerging technologies, AI tools, and automation to increase audit efficiency and detect anomalies.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in IT audit or internal controls within complex IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance, technology risk, and control frameworks (e.g., ITGC, change management, access management).
• Proficiency in project management and ability to collaborate globally while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience with data analytics and automation tools is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CISSP are a plus.
