Senior Infrastructure Services Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, customer‑focused Senior Infrastructure Services Consultant to join our Infrastructure Services team. You will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing both on‑premise and cloud‑based ERP environments, with a strong emphasis on Linux systems, virtualization, and overall infrastructure reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and support customer ERP environments, including abas ERP, and manage Linux‑based server infrastructures.
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox) and perform system health checks, upgrades, patches and proactive maintenance.
• Monitor performance, conduct capacity planning, and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers, coordinating maintenance, upgrades and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with Consulting, Helpdesk, Professional Services and Development teams on projects and cloud initiatives.

Required profile

• Secondary education diploma, technical degree or equivalent experience in IT or Computer Science.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in infrastructure services, Linux system administration or managed services.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Linux system administration and server architecture.
• Virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox.
• ERP infrastructure experience (preferably abas ERP).
• System upgrade, patching and lifecycle management.
• Network fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls.
• Remote access and support technologies.
• Active Directory and Windows Server administration.
• Docker and container technologies; familiarity with cloud‑hosted environments.
