Senior Healthcare Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursing Assistant to join our Orthopaedic & Main Outpatient nursing team. The successful candidate will carry out both clinical and non‑clinical duties as delegated by the Senior Nursing team, while progressing towards the SVQ Level 3 qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and support within the Orthopaedic & Main Outpatient department.
• Perform delegated clinical tasks and assist with non‑clinical activities such as patient flow and documentation.
• Adhere to mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
• Maintain compliance with the NHS Code of Conduct throughout employment.
• Collaborate closely with senior nurses and multidisciplinary team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
• Enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills.
• Genuine interest in working in a busy Orthopaedic & Outpatient setting.
• Commitment to completing the SVQ Level 3 programme.
• Willingness to meet induction standards and uphold professional standards.
