Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Full Stack

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and engineering partners to design, build, deploy and operationalize modern digital solutions in real‑world enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery for customer‑embedded solutions, from discovery through production deployment.
• Design and build full‑stack web applications, APIs, dashboards, automation components and integration layers.
• Deploy and integrate solutions within complex enterprise environments, including legacy systems, cloud platforms and third‑party applications.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security scans and infrastructure automation.
• Run discovery workshops, technical deep dives and solution design sessions with business users and product owners.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, CSV, GDPR, HIPAA and internal J&J technology standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering, full‑stack development and enterprise application delivery.
• 3+ years as a technical lead, solution architect or forward‑deployed engineer.
• Experience working directly with business users to discover needs and drive adoption.
• Background in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical or healthcare is preferred.

Required skills

• Front‑end: React, Angular, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design.
• Back‑end: Java.NET, Node.js, Python, REST APIs, microservices.
• Cloud & DevSecOps: Azure (preferred), AWS, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code.
• Databases: Relational and NoSQL.
• Observability: monitoring, logging, automated testing, secure SDLC.
• Agile delivery, architecture & design patterns, production support excellence.
