Senior Financial Analyst – GFS FP&A

About the role

Amazon's Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Payments Finance group. You will own the financial close process, drive monthly P&L analysis, and support forecasting and reporting for a fast‑growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Execute financial close activities, including accruals and related reporting.
• Perform monthly P&L analysis, headcount planning, and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for new and existing initiatives.
• Prepare inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews and facilitate finance review meetings.
• Conduct ad‑hoc business analyses, financial modeling, and data‑driven insights.
• Partner with business managers to improve cost management and operational performance.
• Identify data quality issues, root causes, and work with stakeholders to implement solutions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Proven experience building financial and operational reports that guide business decisions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• SQL for large‑scale data extraction.
• MS Access, Essbase, Cognos.
• Financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards.
