Senior Finance Specialist (Data & AI)

About the role

Databricks is seeking a hands‑on Finance Data and AI Specialist to build and maintain data pipelines, applications, and AI‑powered tools that support its Finance and Accounting organisation. You will work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit and Procurement teams, reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Data and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines on the Databricks Lakehouse using Python/PySpark to automate journal entries and transform core financial processes.
• Build finance data pipelines with Databricks Jobs and Lakeflow Spark Declarative Pipelines, including validation and reconciliation logic.
• Create AI‑assisted tools for workflow automation, anomaly detection and reporting enhancements.
• Contribute to Finance applications (Databricks Apps, Genie Spaces, AI/BI dashboards) that enable self‑service analytics.
• Support SOX‑compliant change management through Git‑based version control, pull‑request reviews and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, data engineering, analytics engineering or finance systems.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts such as close processes, revenue recognition and financial reporting.
• Ability to translate Finance requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions and communicate with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
