Senior Executive – Purchase & Stores (Aviation MRO)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Executive – Purchase & Stores to lead procurement and inventory operations for our Aviation MRO facility. The role ensures timely availability of aircraft spares, tools and consumables to support maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement of aircraft spares, tools, consumables and services in line with operational needs.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, create comparative statements and support vendor selection.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders in SAP MM and track delivery status.
• Coordinate invoice processing and vendor payments with Finance.
• Handle receipt, inspection, tagging, storage and issue of materials; perform SAP MM transactions such as GRN, Goods Issue, stock transfers.
• Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory verification and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Monitor shelf‑life controlled items and manage bonded stores.
• Liaise with Maintenance, Planning, Quality and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted material support.
• Maintain procurement and inventory documentation per aviation quality standards and support audits.
• Prepare MIS reports using SAP and MS Excel.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Aeronautical/Production/Automobile engineering with 10–12 years relevant experience, OR B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Production/Industrial Engineering with 6–8 years experience.
• Proven experience in purchase and/or stores operations, preferably in Aviation, Aerospace, Defence or MRO.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP MM is mandatory.
• Knowledge of aircraft spares, inventory control and warehouse operations is preferred.
