Senior Executive – Engineering Stores (Mundra)

About the role

The Senior Executive – Engineering Stores is responsible for the efficient management of engineering stores operations at the Mundra port. The role ensures timely receipt, proper storage, preservation, issue and inventory control of engineering materials, spare parts, consumables and fuel, supporting uninterrupted maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately receive, verify, store and preserve engineering materials, spare parts, consumables and tools against purchase orders and technical specifications.
• Prepare Goods Receipt Notes and complete ERP transactions within prescribed timelines.
• Maintain optimal inventory accuracy through cycle counts, perpetual verification and annual stock audits.
• Issue stock and non‑stock materials following approved procedures and authorization limits, managing returnable and non‑returnable transactions.
• Maintain fuel inventory records, handle receipt, storage, issuance, reconciliation and daily reporting while complying with statutory and safety requirements.
• Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded promptly in the ERP system and maintain documentation for audit compliance.
• Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Supply Chain Security standards, ensuring safe storage, handling and housekeeping of all stores.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in managing engineering stores or similar inventory functions.
• Strong knowledge of statutory, safety and QHSE compliance related to material handling.
• Ability to coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance and operations teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for inventory transactions.
• Inventory control and cycle‑count techniques.
• Fuel inventory handling and reconciliation.
• Understanding of statutory, safety and QHSE requirements.
