Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Finance

About the role

The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Finance will support the finance team in driving accurate monthly closing, performance reporting and budgetary processes. The role combines analytical work, control tool development and cross‑site coordination to ensure financial integrity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in, understand and challenge the monthly closing process.
• Analyse monthly results, explain variances versus budget and prior month across all P&L and activity lines.
• Prepare weekly financial performance reports and key performance indicators such as overdue external and internal items and internal control metrics.
• Lead “Back on Track” actions and contribute to budget and medium‑term planning (MTP) processes, including guidelines, recharges and standard templates.
• Develop and implement standard management control tools and conduct ad‑hoc analyses.
• Propose solutions for inter‑site issues such as transfer pricing and R&D recharges.
• Conduct on‑site management control reviews and pre‑validate IAR and CAA workflows.
• Ensure deployment of group‑wide standard tools and approve e‑procurement requests.
• Prepare and analyse budgets, forecasts, best estimates and MTP, applying standard costing techniques in SAP ERP.
• Support the Group Ethics & Compliance programme by adhering to the code of ethics and Valeo policies.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of monthly closing and variance analysis.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and medium‑term planning.
• Familiarity with standard costing methods and their implementation in SAP ERP.
• Ability to develop and maintain management control tools.
• Knowledge of internal control, compliance and ethics standards.
