Senior Engineering Manager – On-site in Jaipur

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Senior Engineering Manager to found and lead our new Jaipur office. The role blends technical delivery with team and operational leadership, contributing to architecture and code while hiring, mentoring and establishing engineering processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable SaaS/PaaS products on Microsoft Azure using .NET, React and Power BI.
• Drive code quality, performance, security and observability best practices.
• Document architectural decisions, patterns and engineering standards in consultation with the onshore team.
• Collaborate with onshore architects and consultants to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Lead solution design sessions and technical workshops.
• Hire, mentor and coach engineers; develop career pathways and a growth‑oriented culture.
• Establish and own engineering processes such as agile ceremonies, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, testing and monitoring.
• Set up local engineering operations including hiring and onboarding staff.
• Partner with the Australia head office on HR, legal and administrative processes.
• Champion Antares’ culture and collaboration practices across locations.
• Stay current with Microsoft cloud technologies, AI/ML capabilities and modern frontend frameworks, driving adoption where appropriate.
• Promote platform reliability and engineering excellence across the team.

Required profile

• 3–8+ years delivering .NET applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong frontend experience with React or Angular and interest in AI‑enabled web architectures.
• Full‑project lifecycle experience including presales, design, implementation and delivery.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor or hire engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts across time zones and cultures.
• Strong problem‑solving and pragmatic decision‑making in ambiguous environments.
• Experience working with distributed onshore teams and cross‑cultural collaboration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Graph, Teams, Power Platform and Azure services such as App Services, Functions, AKS, SQL/Cosmos DB, DevOps pipelines.
• Experience setting up or scaling teams or offices is a strong advantage.
