Senior Engineer / Front Line Manager (MOE41)

About the role

The Front Line Manager will supervise shift operations of a value stream, handling internal and customer‑site complaints, managing manpower, and ensuring safety, quality and shop‑floor standards. The role also involves coaching associates, driving continuous improvement and supporting digital initiatives to meet SQCD targets.

Key responsibilities

• Organise production setup according to schedule, assign tasks, and follow standard procedures to achieve shift SQCD targets.
• Lead cross‑functional investigations of complex quality complaints together with R&D.
• Record and hand over shift events, track performance KPIs (OEE, FPY, scrap, tool life) and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct daily shift meetings, communicate initiatives, goals and performance to associates and stakeholders.
• Coach and motivate associates in Kaizen, TPM, and digital solutions (MES/MAS) to improve efficiency.
• Represent the value stream in external EHS and quality audits and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Automobile or Production Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in auto component or ancillary manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of product function, drawings, BOM, PDS and EHS/OSHAS certifications.
• Strong communication, conflict management and stakeholder handling skills.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation and assembly MAE controls.
• Testing benches, special‑process instrumentation and vision systems.
• Digital shop‑floor tools (SMP, DigitalBOM, AutoCAD, torque monitoring).
• ERP and MES tools: SAP, MES, MAS.
• Problem‑solving methodologies: 8D, Shainin, Human Error Prevention.
• Agile project management and MS Office proficiency.
