Senior Engineer Front Line Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Senior Engineer Front Line Manager will lead shift operations for a value stream in Bosch's manufacturing plant in Nashik. You will supervise shop‑floor associates, ensure safe and efficient value creation, and drive continuous improvement to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Organise production set‑up according to the schedule, assign tasks and follow standard procedures, methods, BPS and work instructions.
• Supervise shift operations, motivate and mentor shop‑floor associates, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and shop‑floor standards.
• Conduct and document checks (LPC) to verify conformance, record shift events such as attendance, breakdowns, quality issues and performance.
• Summarise shift performance and hand over to the next shift FLM for seamless continuity.
• Track production KPIs (OEE, FPY, scrap, tool life, leveling, fulfillment), identify deviations and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and execute corrective actions.
• Maintain IR and shop‑floor discipline, manage deviations and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop shop‑floor teams.
• Strong organisational skills and experience managing shift performance.
• Knowledge of safety, quality and shop‑floor standards.
• Experience with deviation management and continuous‑improvement processes.
