Senior Engineer – Front Line Manager

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Front Line Manager will lead shift operations on the shop floor, ensuring efficient value creation and adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. This role combines hands‑on production management with coaching and development of associate teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations of value streams, assigning tasks and following standard procedures, BPS and work instructions.
• Organize production setup according to the schedule and drive SQCD targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) for the shift.
• Conduct daily safety and quality checks, record shift events (attendance, breakdowns, quality issues) and hand over concise reports to the next shift.
• Track performance KPIs such as OEE, FPY, scrap rates, tool life and implement corrective actions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Mentor and coach entry‑level associates, promote continuous improvement and maintain shop‑floor discipline.

Required profile

• Senior engineering professional with proven experience in production or manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills to motivate and develop shop‑floor teams.
• Good understanding of safety, quality and operational standards.
• Ability to analyse performance data, identify deviations and drive corrective actions.
